What the consultation covers

How a first contact turns into a consultation, what happens in those 45 minutes, and what you leave with.

How a first contact turns into a consultation, and what you leave with.

In short

  • It starts with the short form. Nádia reads it and tells you whether a consultation is the right next step.
  • 45 minutes, at the office in Lisbon or by video call, in English or Portuguese.
  • You leave knowing the route that fits, the documents you need, and the fees for the work.

First, the form

Every case starts with the short form. Describe your situation in your own words. Nádia reads it herself and replies with what to do next.

Sometimes the answer is that you do not need a lawyer, or that one document solves it. When your case needs more, she proposes a consultation and tells you what to bring.

Before the consultation

  • Your passport and your current visa or permit
  • Any letter, receipt or decision from AIMA or the registry, with dates
  • The dates that matter: when you arrived, when you applied, when a permit expires
  • Your questions, written down, so that none is forgotten

During the 45 minutes

  • The route that fitsWhich permit or which route to citizenship applies to you, and why.
  • The documents you needExactly which documents, in which form, and in which order to request them.
  • What to expectThe steps of the process, what AIMA or the registry will ask, and what can go wrong.
  • The feesWhat the work would cost, agreed before anything starts.

After the consultation

You decide, without pressure. If you go ahead, the fees are confirmed to you before any work starts, and nothing is filed in your name until you say so. If you do not, you keep what you learned.

Migration planning

For people planning a move to Portugal, or a change from one permit to another, before anything is filed: the route, the order of the steps, the documents to gather now, and the mistakes that cost time later.

Representation before public and private bodies

With a power of attorney, Nádia can act for you before AIMA, the registry, consulates, the tax and social security authorities, and private bodies such as banks, employers and schools: submissions, appointments, hearings and follow-up, so that you do not have to be present for every step.

How it starts

Fill in the short form and describe your situation in your own words. Bring any letter or decision you have received to the consultation; we ask for the rest later.

Nádia reads it herself and replies with what to do next. If a consultation is the right next step, she proposes it: 45 minutes, at the office in Lisbon or by video call, in English or Portuguese.

Fees for the work are agreed at the consultation, before anything starts. Nothing is filed in your name until you say so.
